I had Alaina at ARC start my 2 yr old Gypsy/Quarter horse cross. I was really nervous about picking a trainer because my filly is the boss mare type, brave but strong willed and willing to put up a bit of a fight. I knew if she ended up with a trainer who forced her into a cookie cutter program, it would ruin her. I needed someone who had the right balance of firm and soft. Someone who would adjust the training to fit my horse and my needs as a trail rider. Alaina was the perfect choice! My mare still has her spunk that makes her a brave riding partner but she knows her job and has a solid foundation under saddle. Alaina also put some fun buttons on her like picking you up at the mounting block and stopping when you fall off. Things no other trainer I've worked with has done. She rode her 5-6 days a week, she took her to an obstacle clinic, she took her down the road and around the hay field. She would constantly ask how I felt and if I wanted her to change anything. We talked about cues and headset, speed..even tack. I brought out multiple head stalls and bits (even bitless), she tried them all on her. I had a say in everything. Pearl has now been home several months and continues to blossom into a great horse. Heck, before she even turned 3, she rode in the Michigan Horse expos brave horse competition just 6 months under saddle. I can't thank Alaina enough for putting such a great start on my filly! I highly recommend her, especially for starting and problem horses. She is a gifted trainer and I'm excited to see her program continue to grow.
